Whenever a church stands on a Biblical principle (marriage is between one man and one woman, not two men or three women or a man and a mule, for example), the media wheel out some religious leader from a Liberal "mainline" denomination who pronounces that only an intolerant ignoramus would disagree with their "enlightened" position of free love and marriage in any configuration people want.

"The Bible doesn't mean what it says," they chortle. "It means whatever we want to believe it says."

This leads to many leaving those churches for places like Calvary Chapel with its emphasis on chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse examination of the Bible, not what some so-called leader says.

So what happens to those who stay in these lukewarm Laodicean (see Revelation Chapter 1-3) churches?

As the saying goes, "If you don't believe in something, you will fall for anything." 

Those churches don't believe that Christ is necessary for salvation, nor do they believe in the doctrine of salvation from sin.  Sin is just a man-made "construct."

So they need a mission and that mission is Liberalism in its most virulent form.

Remember ACORN? Guess who contributed over $50,000 in at least three grants?

George Soros and his Moveon.org group?  Planned Parenthood?  Michelle Obama?  Larry Flynt?

Guess again.

How about the Presbyterian Church (USA)?

Yes, while PCUSA cut funds to missionary ministries, they gave ACORN three grants.   

According to a World Magazine article in their 24 October 2009 issue titled "Religious Nuts" by Warren Cole Smith (http://www.worldmag.com/articles/15997), not only did the Presbyterians give to this extremist organization, so did The National Council of Churches, the Episcopal Church, and the Methodists.

As pointed out in "Fleeing Liberal Churches," these are some of the churches that hemorrhage members at the fastest rates.  The people who tithe in these churches are presumably not doing so to help ACORN train "pimps" how to evade taxes and receive funding for prostitution

The mainstream media completely ignored the ACORN story until it was exposed on FOX News, and then they were alarmed that Fox didn't spike the story as they did.

Do you want your tax dollars going to ACORN? How about your tithes and offerings?

Talk about "..rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's."
