At least that what one would believe if you watched MSNBC, NBC, CBS or read either the L.A. or New York Times 

Surprisingly, the fact that both New Jersey and Virginia just elected Republicans to replace their liberal democrat Governors is interpreted as a non issue by the Obama talking heads.

The idea that maybe all those Tea Party folks may have reflected a growing discontent with such shenanigans as banning FOX News for daring to mention that Obama "green jobs czar" Van Jones is a communist, Obama "safe schools czar" Kevin Jennings advocates homosexuality to young boys and approved of a male teacher sexually abusing a young boy (with the sage advice "use a condom") and Obama inviting foreign AIDS patients to enter the US and abuse our healthcare system.
 
Oh, by the way,  Maine will join more than 30 other states that have rejected gay and lesbian marriage at the ballot box.

How is all of this characterized? "Republicans are ripping themselves apart" said the NY Times.

That's liberal for "Republicans won."
