What a Drag!

This week we celebrated Veterans Day.  At Santa Monica College, veterans seeking to recognize our nation's debt to those who served in the military were informed that their event would be under attended and unacknowledged.  Why?   It is "drag week."

Drag week ? A celebration of drag racing?  No, a celebration of men who disguise themselves as women.  Drag week celebrates "drag queens" the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bi, transgender) group on campus chose to organize their festival in direct conflict with the veterans.  Guess who won out?

What about Christian or Jewish students whose morality was affronted by the disgusting displays of a man with a five o'clock shadow dressed up as Marilyn Monroe?   Be "tolerant" and "put up or shut up" is the unspoken admonition for such people.  We must all adopt a "live and let live" attitude toward these matters.

How about when the "tolerance" must go in the other direction?

In Maine churches are facing harassment from "gay" groups who are promoting a campaign to have churches audited by the IRS.  Yes, those 'tolerant" homosexuals are attempting to unleash the most dreaded arm of the leviathan federal government against houses of worship.

Calvary Chapel Pastor Ken Graves of Calvary Chapel Bangor has spoken out in support of churches first amendment rights.  The primary purpose of churches is to share the Gospel. The "good news."  Good news requires the recognition that there is something wrong that must be resolved.  That something the Bible calls sin.  Homosexuality is listed many times as one such sin.  In seeking to silence the churches these "gay" groups are showing their true colors.  They are the intolerant bigots. They seem to hate Christians and Christianity.  When a ballot measure (in this case Question One) wins, they resort to "sour grapes" gestapo tactics.  Their hateful actions against churches harm them, as well as the church.  Like every other sinner (no matter the sin), they need the Savior.  If they choose to reject Him, He will respect that choice, but there is no reason for them to seek to prevent others from hearing about God's love and forgiveness for all who repent and seek Him.

Every time, 31 out 31 times, including in liberal California, Americans have rejected the notion of "gay" marriage.  Homosexuals enjoy all the rights of hospital visitation , wills and trusts etc. that normal people do (yes, I said normal).  The push for "gay marriage" is designed to gain governmental recognition of their choices and thus force the promotion of these "ideals" on citizens.

The next time you hear them screaming "tolerance" think to yourself, "You first!"
