It is a truth that genuine art reflects reality. It is also true that art has a timeless element . William Hogarth created many works of art that can be characterized as masterpieces (unlike the taxpayer funded NEA "art" such as a crucifix in urine or homosexual Robert Mapplethorpe engaging in unspeakable acts of a scatological nature).

A man like Hogarth is needed now that we are on the cusp of Al Franken and Arlen Specter taking over one sixth of the US economy. Does anyone genuinely believe that a clown like Franken will be able to administer healthcare in any way other than a radical Left- wing agenda?

Art is needed as a mirror and can be used to help us see the falsehood that our corporate managed media spoon feeds us.
