Our Long National Nightmare Is Over? GOP Prospects for 2010

To quote Bob Dylan, It appears that the "Times They Are a Changin.'"

In 1983 in Massachusetts, Democrat Congressman Gerry Studds revealed he had been involved in a sex scandal. Studds had engaged in sodomy with a 17-year-old boy. Studds refused to apologize and was re-elected in 1984 by a 56% margin by his Massachusetts Democrat voters and retired in 1996. When he was being reprimanded in Congress, he turned his back on his colleagues to show his contempt for their reprimand.

This is the state that has reelected pederast Barney Frank  after he was enmeshed in running a homosexual prostitution ring out of his Washington, DC apartment , after he was caught with a large marijuana plant growing in his backyard and after he took a wrecking ball to the US economy with his Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac debacle. Yes that Massachusetts has sent the Democrat party down in flames.

Scott Brown beat Martha ("Marsha" if you are dimwitted Patrick Kennedy) Coakley. Coakley was handpicked successor for "Ted Kennedy's seat," a characterization commonly used by the NY Times and Boston Globe until Scott Brown pointed out that it is the people's seat.

The hubris of Obama invited the nemesis of a GOP victory in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Obamacare Massacre is what all of national the headlines would read , if anyone other than Keith Olbermann-lite wrote them.

This would appear to be great news for the GOP.

The answer is "Yes, but. . . "  Remember , this is the Republican Party dubbed by the late Washington Times Paleo-Conservative columnist Sam Francis as "The Stupid Party." They seem to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

This is the party that nominated Bob Dole to dither around in the absolute worst campaign by a GOP candidate in my lifetime while the post-Hillarycare, pre-Monica Clinton sailed to an easy victory.

This is the Republican Party that nominated Juan "Open Borders" McCain to oppose the most left-,wing socialist candidate that the Democrats ever ran for President. Ever.

The simple truth of history is that when the GOP nominates Conservatives, they win. This is why is a nonexistent Tea Party Political Party is polling higher than the allegedly conservative GOP

When the GOP nominates the candidates that the New York Times chooses (as they did with McCain), they lose.

If you nominate a Reagan, he wins; if you nominate a McCain, we get an Obama.

Given a choice between an ardent Leftist and a R.I.N.O (Republican In Name Only), voters pick the "honest" Leftist.
