Mayor Villaraigosa's Jive Talkin' Minstrel Show In "Negro Dialect"
The mayor was "honoring" Chaka Khan and Jamie Foxx by putting on an Amos and Andy drawl that dredged up the worst stereotypes of Black speech patterns, what Democrat Harry Reid calls "Negro Dialect." Only his failure to mention fried chicken and watermelon was absent. The Mayor (who is Mexican) casually mentioned how he "sho'nuff gwan go to da BET" awards and how he "luvs him sum" Black folk. He went on to call Jamie Fox a "brotha" and do a pitiful attempt at George Jefferson meets Steppin Fetchit. His "house Negro" inanity was so stunning that many in attendance shuddered in horror. According to Michael Linder:
"Audience reaction ranged from giggles to amazement. Hundreds of African Americans who packed Council chambers or watched video projections on City Hall’s south lawn seemed slightly startled as hizzoner rapped on — not shuckin’ or jivin’ as much with Tavis Smiley as he did with entertainers Kahn and Foxx. LA’s mainstream media took no notice.Younger blacks seemed more amused than their civil rights-era elders or those from the Afro-centric generations of the 70s and 80s.But imagine the reaction had former mayors Jim Hahn or Dick Riordan lapsed into Ebonics at a celebration of black achievement..."
Speaking of Chaka Khan, Villaraigosa, assuming a mock "Negro" voice reminiscent of a slave from the miniseries Roots, drawled out, "she's done received 10 Grammy awards everybody. And a BET lifetime achievement awode. By the way, I'm at the BET awards every year held here in Los Angeles."
Speaking of Jamie Foxx, who was at his side, the mayor said, "Is there anything Jamie Foxx can't do? Mannnn ... I love, I love that convosation we had in our office a few minutes ago. Because you know what -- don't think for the moment that this brother couldn't run for office."
In response, Jamie Foxx attempted to speak Mexican Spanish while the Mayor (who prefers to be called "alcalde" by his fellow Mexicans) interrupted with shouts of "right on! and "awwwww riyeet!"
This insensitive behavior is particularly galling in light of the fact that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is a member of La Raza ("the Race"), a racist group that promotes a climate of hate against African Americans. His antics of "acting Black" are shameful and insensitive. Jamiel Shaw was MURDERED by an ILLEGAL ALIEN because Jamiel was Black. Special Order 40 and the "sanctuary city" movement favors criminal illegal Mexicans and gang bangers over Americans of all races.
As Alan Wall repoted in Frontpagemag.com:
IMAGINE THAT a former member of a racist, anti-American organization, who has never repudiated that organization, were running for mayor of one of America's largest cities. Wouldn't that be considered a major scandal? Wouldn't such a politician be shunned by the mainstream, condemned in newspaper op-eds across the nation, and attacked for his past by his opponent?
Now imagine a second scenario. Imagine that a former member of a racist, anti-American organization, who has never repudiated that organization, were running for mayor of one of America's largest cities. But in this scenario, such a politician's past is largely ignored by the mainstream media and even by his opponent. Could such a thing be possible?
Yes, such a thing is possible and is in fact happening right now in Los Angeles, California...Antonio Villaraigosa, who in his college days was president of the UCLA chapter of MEChA. Villaraigosa has refused to renounce his membership in the MEChA, and has even said he is proud to have been part of the group. Villaraigosa's past is being ignored by the LA Times, the LA Daily News.
MEChA is an acronym for "Movimiento Estudiantíl Chicano de Aztlán" - Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan. The goal of Aztlan is the secession of the Southwest U.S.A., which it calls Aztlan. The MEChA Constitution clearly calls for "the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán". Another key document , "El Plan de Aztlan", states that "Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent....We declare the independence of our mestizo nation...Nationalism as the key to organization transcends all religious, political, class, and economic factions or boundaries. Nationalism is the common denominator that all members of La Raza agree upon." The MEChA slogan "Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada" (Everything for the Race - Nothing oustside the Race) -what is that if not racism? According to Miguel Perez , mechista of Cal State Northridge, "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan....Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled....opposition groups would have to be quashed because you have to keep the power."
Local news media, who would have lead the news with the racist behavior had this been Pat Buchanan or Ronald Reagan, were silent about the incident. This is understandable in light of their typical Leftist bias and the fact that the serial cheater has dated, and is dating, several news anchors.
This is not the first time a liberal politician has put on a minstrel show. Hillary Clinton affected a "Negro dialect" to great (unintended) comedic result. The clip featured below shows "Kentucky Fried Hillary" doing her best to sound like a recently emancipated slave from Gone With The Wind before a primarily Black audience.
I find it very interesting that Leftists in general, and some Black people, are willing to accept anything that a Democrat says even if it's demeaning or insulting. I know conservatives would be called a racist if they tried to imitate Black speech.
These are the same people who evince an incredible sensitivity to the slightest inference of racial prejudice. Michelle Obama wrote her college thesis on the racist nature of white America. Van Jones, the "Reverend's" Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton have all made millions off of white politicians bowing in apology for their "insensitive" ways. These shakedown artists share the same political views as people like Mayor Tony Villaraigosa and Hillary; therefore, they get a pass from the liberal media.
The shucking and jiving is a monstrous example of the double standards of she-male Rachel Maddow of the defunct Air America radio/MSNBC and other representative of the 'tolerant" Obama media as Los Angeles descends further into become a third world hellhole of anti Black/Anti American hatred.

Black History Month: Should It End?
"You're going to relegate my history to a month? … Which month is White History Month? … I don't want a Black History Month. Black history is American history."
The month of February was designated Black History Month in 1976, though Carter G. Woodson began Negro History Week back in 1926; he selected the second week in February to recognize the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
The educational ramifications of an end to Black History Month would be substantial. Kids have learned a lot during Black History Month as they've completed school assignments on prominent African Americans. If the month wasn't celebrated individually, would the school system be up to the challenge of celebrating it all the time?
Michael Ross at theroot.com states that "Black History Month has become more or less a reflex in American life, with many observances reduced to rote and repetitious rituals. Many of those observances seem to be as much about marketing products as they are about the collective national memory."
Newsweek author Raina Kelley observed: "When did everybody start hating on Black History Month? I have yet to find a person, black or white or anything else, looking forward to the February festivities..It seems ghettoizing and patronizing to spend one month of every year proving that black history is a holistic part of American history."
Women's History Month in March and LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) Pride Month in June are just a few other examples of times when our nation recognizes the accomplishments of various groups of people. Perhaps there are concerns at the national level that the 'undoing' of such a holiday would be insulting to those it is designed to honor?
