Why Obama Hates Easter
Did this act of intolerance and anti-Christian bigotry occur in San Francisco's notorious Castro District? Fire Island? Key West?Boston?
None of the above.
This Stalinistic attempt at erasing history was perpetrated in Davenport, Iowa.
A taxpayer supported group ominously called the Davenport Civil Rights Commission has imposed its narrow-minded bigotry on the people of that middle-American city.
The apparartchik responsible is a petty bureaucrat named Craig Malin.
Just as no one in the managed "mainstream media" (MSM) asked the fundamental question "Why did the islamic jihadi known as the Underwear Bomber choose, of all days, Christmas day to attack the US?" No one seems to see the acceleration of hate-filled anti-Christian bigotry subsequent to Mr. Obama's assinine assertion while visiting Turkey last year that Americans no longer consider their country a “a Christian nation … but a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.”
The Underwear Bomber chose to attack us on CHRISTMAS! Maybe he didn't get the memo from Obama.
Sadly, the extremists in Davenport, Iowa did.
I.M. Kane reports that this anti-Christian zealot "...made the name change unilaterally, and then... sent a memo around to municipal employees informing them that Good Friday was now “Spring Holiday.”
“We merely made a recommendation that the name be changed to something other than Good Friday. Our Constitution calls for separation of church and state. Davenport touts itself as a diverse city and given all the different types of religious and ethnic backgrounds we represent, we suggested the change..,”
Of course, the Constitution calls for no such thing. The phrase "separation of church and state" is found nowhere in the U.S. Constitution. The concept is totally foreign to our foundational documents. Our Constitution and Declaration of Independence explicitly recognize and aknowledge our Creator God.
Making Obama's de-Christianization dream come true seems to be the goal of the Davenport Human Rights Commission and Leftists everywhere. Why?
Because the state is a jealous god. The state can have no other gods, especially the True and Living God, before it. Doing so limits the powers of the state.
Dennis Prager makes the compelling point that
"...Leftism, though secular, must be understood as a religion (which is why I have begun capitalizing it). The Leftist value system's hold on its adherents is as strong as the hold Christianity, Judaism and Islam have on their adherents. Nancy Pelosi's belief in expanding the government's role in American life, and therefore her passion for the health care bill, is as strong as a pro-life Christian's belief in the sanctity of the life of the unborn.
Given the religious nature and the emotional power of Leftist values, Jews and Christians on the Left often derive their values from the Left more than from their religion.
Now, of course, most Leftist Jews and Christians will counter that Leftist values cannot trump their religion's values because Leftist values are identical to their religion's values. But this argument only reinforces my argument that Leftism has conquered the Christianity and the Judaism of Leftist Christians and Jews. If there is no difference between Leftist moral values and those of Judaism or Christianity, then Christianity is little more than Leftism with "Jesus" rhetoric added, and Judaism is Leftism with Jewish terms -- such as "Tikkun Olam" ("repairing the world") and "Prophetic values" -- added.
But if Christianity is, morally speaking, really Leftism, why didn't Catholics or Protestants assert these values prior to 19th-century European Leftism? And, if Judaism is essentially a set of Left-wing values, does that mean that the Torah and the Talmud are Leftist documents? Or are the two pillars of Judaism generally wrong? "
Fundamentally liberals, progressives and Leftists in general hate Jesus, hate the Bible and hate Christians with a passion. They do so because it presents rival truth claims. They have their religion. The state is the "god" for Leftists, and any who dare disagree are blaspheming their "god."
This Easter please pray for the conversion of Obama, Pelosi and all of your Leftist friends and neighbors. They are bowing down before the pagan idol known as the state. They seek to silence the Truth because He is the sole source of light and darkness hates the light. Pray for them. It's their only hope

Very well written and good points.

Hmm. When asked, Jesus said there were two commandments above all others. One of these was "To Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself." Obviously, you must have skimmed over this part because you aren't showing much love for your neighbors. If Jesus is your Lord and yet you can't even follow one of his two supreme dictates, what does this say about your supposed faith?
(I'll be shocked if you allow this comment to post.)

Thank you for asking!
It would be very easy to give a flip answer such as "Your statement pointing out what you mistakenly belive to be my personal failures is not very " loving"- is it?" which shows the inherent contradiction in your flawed interpretation of the verses. It is important to read the Bible in context. According to your reading it would be impossible to warn anyone that their acts lead to hell.
Fundamentally you seem to be asking about what the true meaning of Jesus command to "Love Thy Neighbor" means in practice.
Jesus said loving God is the most important of all the commandments. But what does loving God really mean? Dave Hunt at www.thebereancall.org really captures the essence:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" (Deut 6:5) defines the relationship which God intended between Himself and Israel and all mankind. Though this requirement is not explicitly stated in the Ten Commandments (Ex 20; Deut 5), it is, according to our Lord Jesus Christ, the essence thereof, and the first and greatest commandment given by God to man (Mat 22; Mk 12; Lk 10).
If this is the greatest commandment, then failure to love God with one's entire heart, soul and might must be the greatest sin of which one could be guilty. Indeed, not loving God is the root of all sin. Nor is our Lord's explanation of the Ten Commandments a condemnation only of atheists and pagans. It is also a terrible indictment of most Christians. How shamefully little love we give to God! "With all thine heart, with all thy soul, with all thy might!" said Jesus. My own conscience has been deeply convicted.
The second commandment, according to our Lord, is, "thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Obedience to this command is the essential evidence of truly loving God. John reminds us, "he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" (1 Jn 4:20). Love of neighbor is the inevitable result of loving God. These two commandments (to love God, then neighbor), like blossom and fruit, are inseparable. There cannot be one without the other. Moreover, "On these two commandments," said Jesus, "hang all the law and the prophets" (Mat 22:40, etc.). Here is the essence of all Scripture and of God's requirements for mankind.
Were it not for God's grace and the redemptive work of Christ, this clear teaching from Scripture would hang over us like a death sentence. We have disobeyed the first and greatest commandment, and as a result could not keep the second. The penalty for sin is death—eternal separation from God and from the life and love which is in Him alone. How desperately we need a Savior! And, oh, how God's gracious and complete provision in Christ should create in our hearts the very love for Him that He longs for from us! "
So, in answer to your pointed question the answer is clear.
The most LOVING thing we can do for Obama,Pelosi and all our taoist, atheist or any other type of neighbor is to PRAY for them.Pray for them to be saved. Jesus LOVES you and gave His life for you. If He did not have to die on the cross, if meditation, good works or taoism, buddhism,TM or any other way would have been true He would not need to die and suffer for us on the cross. Easter is Jesus conquering death and darkness for us.

Another answer that I hope will help you is found at RZIM.org:
No other religion in the world boasts the kind of relationship with the Almighty that is available through Christ. None. It is utterly unique, intimate, and public. There is no secret society enrollment, no special guru training, and no money required to have a friendship with God. Yet, at the same time, it is not simply a bagful of feelings nor a relationship so private that we pick and choose what we want God to be like. The Almighty doesn't change. He is a permanent reality upon which our own existence hangs.
There is one central goal God has given to humanity, that is, to love Him.
Jesus said the greatest commandment that unifies all others is, "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength" (Mark 12:30). This, coming from the smartest man who ever lived, requires us to stop, ponder, order, and re-order our lives to walk in it. We must update our view of God, not simply because loving God is a nice thing to do, but because loving God is the sum total of living in harmony with the way the world actually is, no matter who you are.
When Jesus says, "the Lord your God," he is speaking about Yahweh of the Old Testament. He's echoing Deuteronomy that speaks of the same. He is not referring to any boutique religious intuition. He isn't speaking of personal mysticism. He is making reference to something real, an unseen but ever-present Person, the King above all High Kings. And throughout the Gospels, Jesus and those closest to him always give indication that there is more to Jesus than meets the eye. He is identical, in some way, to this High King.
But what kind of relationship to the High King does Jesus have in mind?
All relationship requires an "I, Thou" distinction. There must be at least two persons present in order for a relationship to happen. This is why much eastern religion cannot talk about true relationship with God because there is no "other" to relate to. For the Eastern mystic, everyone and everything is part of God, while at the same time, any indication of separateness is merely an illusion.
What a contrast this is to the relationship Jesus underscores. A relationship with the God of the Scriptures is nearly analogous to our relationships with each other. We are distinct from our friends, and hence a real "I, Thou" relationship can be made.
But what is this "I, Thou" relationship based on? Jesus says it is based on "love."
The English word for "love" is unclear for a discussion like this one. We can talk about "loving" God, while at the same time talk about "loving" our cars, our spouses, our children, and our books. Each one of these relationships exhibits a different kind of love that is lost in our English usage.
Jesus' use of "love" is "agape." It is a love that is willed, unselfish, and looking for the best good of another. "For God so loved the world." Here the same word for "love" is used: God unselfishly willing the best good of humanity.
Jesus already assumes God's love when he gives the command. But he's putting the responsibility of love upon us. We are capable of it, he implies. We are to love God the way God loves us. We are to will God's good.
This is probably a new concept to many of us. To will God's good is a different perspective than what we hear much of the time. We hear about obedience. We hear about God's love for us. But when was the last time we heard of willing God's good?
The beginning of the Lord's Prayer starts off fulfilling the commandment to love.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed by thy name.
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Why do we want God's kingdom to come? Because that's the reason He made planet earth—to manifest his kingdom here. When we pray this kind of prayer, we are willing God's best. This is why Jesus also says that if you love me, you'll keep my commandments. Obedience to God is the willing of his good. When we obey, we make his name great in the world.

To "The Rambling Taoist,"
It takes a lot of love to speak the truth to the whole of society, when the whole of society needs to hear it, knowing that many will reject it and become enraged, as you have become.
So, I say to "ElvisNixon;" --Let the heathen rage and keep up the great work of telling the truth. Scripture tells us to expose evil works of darkness, and expose such works, we shall do.
Jesus, himself turned over tables, called dogs dogs and asked the heathen how they would escape the damnation of hell. Yes, it is loving to tell the truth!
The day is near. The mack truck is heading straight for America. The truth must be told.
Jesus and Jesus alone saves!
