Illegals Defining Trait
Observation of the habits, attitudes and customs of the illegal alien population of Southern California gives rise to the conclusion that they can be easily identified by one characteristic: the inability to say "Thank You."
Ingratitude is their defining characteristic.
They are deeply ungrateful to their host country.
Illegal aliens exploit and destroy all the resources intended for those who sacrificed so much over the years. The children and grandchildren of those who fought in Vietnam, Korea and World War II are forced to learn the language of those who did nothing or actively supported the Nazi regime (Mexico.)
Schools, parks, hospitals...all public (free or cheap) accommodation provided by US citizens and taxpayers are overtaken by those who share a callous indifference to the benefits they destroy.
The words "thank you" never pass their lips as you hold the door for them. They never occur to the illegal alien in the first place.
The reason they see no reason to learn English or honor US history is their active dislike of English-speaking culture and history.
They flee a third world hellhole and seek to recreate it because they are ungrateful.
Thank you Obama, McCain, "W" and all the others who have created this untenable situation. We will remember your contribution to US history.

There are good people of Mexican heritage who came here the legal way and assimilated, but this is not what is happening anymore. A stewpot of La Raza, and liberation theology has led the illegals coming here now to see American culture as "their enemy" to take advantage of as they want to leave Mexico behind. Odd that, because what they are running from will simply be transposed into America instead.

Sir, The behavior of those we call 'mexican' is tribal, and your extrapolations are correct-as they are driven by the ordinary rules of economics, where 'free' incurs no obligation from the receiver.
Most aliens from there ( mexico et al )-legal or illegal-will not freely interact or acknowledge our customary, hospitable gestures ( employed even with a stranger ), unless they have been somewhat acculturated-or in the rare case where the alien is of a somewhat higher caste than ordinary. I count this as a defensive behavior, in the 'natural' state, where anyone encountered who is NOT of the tribe must be regarded as a threat. Cultural anthropology comes to mind, and simple survival.
