Obama's "Gay" Pakistan Arrogance
"A June 26 event at the U.S. Embassy provided a new theme for Islamists looking for a reason to chant anti-U.S. slogans, threaten jihad, and burn American flags on the Fourth of July.
On that day, Richard Hoagland, the number two diplomat at the mission, co-hosted a meeting with "Gays" and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies, an organization that represents homosexuals and lesbians at the State Department, USAID and other agencies.
President Obama proclaimed June to be "gay" pride month..."Whatever happened to the concept of diplomacy at the state department? Their support of such an event was totally thoughtless and politically motivated. Everyone involved in this decision should be immediately recalled and reassigned. This is the height of insensitivity and stupidity. Clearly, the bureaucracy of our government is encumbered with so much political correctness that it is incapable of representing the country with any integrity and sensitivity.
Of course, I'm sure that any mention (never mind celebration) of Easter or Christmas would be out of the question because it would be intolerant of us to demonstrate those beliefs in a Muslim nation, but it's wonderful to openly promote sodomy because Islam is so "backward" in that respect.
This "Gay Parade" conflicts with the basic tenets of this nation's religion, and I thought we were there to "win hearts and minds." Our Secretary of State has been lauded for her accomplishments. I think this sort of thing demonstrates how really corrupt diplomacy is, if a U.S. Embassy gets involved in sex shows like a gay parade. Pushing gay pride in Pakistan makes about as much sense as holding a Confederate States appreciation event in Watts! What an absolutely pointless provocation!!
Tell me why or how promoting sexuality, straight or aberrant, is germane to the State Department's mission, especially in this case? What has become of our government's compass?
Whatever your feelings are on homosexuality, we are in their country, and we shouldn't be so brazen as to push this on these people, just as they should not be pushing their Islamic ideology on us in our own country. They should not be trying to push sharia law in our nation and we should not be pushing these liberal ideas in their nation. Mutual respect is what is needed here. It would be amazing to see our people have the guts to stand up for what we believe in as these people do, instead of allowing political correctness to go on destroying America.
I never thought I would agree with Islamic fundamentalists, but they have a point on this one. Why would a U.S. embassy be holding a gay pride event? Since when is the Dept of State's mission to promote homosexuality around the world? I guess the Obama Administration thinks:
"Don't they realize that Obama loves 'gay' people, and whatever he likes should be fine with the people of Pakistan? Just who do they think they are to go against the wishes of the great Obama? I hope they can get their act together and get with the "gay" programs the United States has planned for them . . . "
